Gaia may be asleep in an underground cavern but one day she will awake, and meanwhile we sing songs to the world soul: the anima mundi and to the sea...

Anima is the breath of life which animates, the powerful wind which blows through the fibres and makes them sing.

Inspirational songs of enchantment and soul quests are by group leader Joanna Foster who weaves a magical mix of world influences, jazz and soul.

Following in the footsteps of Bobby Mcferrin and Sweet Honey in the Rock, Anima take acapella singing onto another level, weaving their voices together with such skill that it is hard to know where one voice ends and another begins.

The rich diversity of these four actor/singers ranges from acting with The Royal Shakespeare Company to singing jazz, folk and pop and performing at The Royal Opera House.

Singers are Cleo Bayley, Joanna Foster, Stephen D. Fletcher and Barbara Gellhorn.

"...the depth and power of Foster's jazz inflected songs stand up to the competition.." - Now Magazine.

"...the music is always fantastic" - The Guardian.
